Save the Old Floor

Project: Operation Save The Old Floor

Mission: to build a new house around 400 square feet of old, rotten oak floors.

Why?

Because she, The Homeowner, said so!

A view to a kill.
Worth saving the oak floor? Only TH knows...

Job requirements:
1. Must be able to walk on balance beam.
2. Must have brute strength.
3. Really brute strength...
4. Must be smart to know a shortcut when you see it.
5. Must be aware of your surroundings, especially around gaping floor joists.

The Framer's Tools.

No, this is not a gas mask contraption. It's a palm nailer.

Framer Adam.
He works hard.
And he goofs off too. Here he is, doing the Thriller.

Cut-Man Chui.

The job site kitchenette.

Someone eats healthy...

The essential beverage of the Pacific Northwest: coffee.

Or, is it...

Every job site must be secure.
This is to secure the ladders at the end of the day.

Storage on the job site.
Nails to hang equipment.
Nails to hang wardrobe.
Nails to snag wardrobe.
Nails

SHINER [defenition]: 1. a nail that misses a stud; 2. what happens if a golf ball hits you in the eye.

STUD [defenition]: 1. an upright in house framing; 2. Framer Adam.

He's single, by the way... sort of.

It's quittin' time when the cords are rolled up...
...and the nail bags are off.

Then the studs come a-struttin'.

Look out Happy Hour, Cut-Man Chui is about to make it happier!

Clocking out.

At least someone drinks H2O around here!
