My parents are retired. I spent seventy-two straight days with them from April to June, and I tell ya, I questioned whether retirement is just a facade for them. Because everyday of those seventy-two days was not idle. Case in point, loading a container.
Every weekend, with the exception of those weekends that we were out of town, we went went to garage sales. We didn't just buy little things. We bought everything from clothes to TV sets, and then some to fill the entire car from front to back, to load into a container. We bought a wrought iron shelf too...
Although it's not as exciting and time consuming as garage and yard sales, buying merchandise at wholesalers' are a crucial part to filling the container because of the sheer bulk of these items.
It isn't easy loading a container. Not if you load it my way. Every inch and every nook is filled to capacity, and that is accomplished only if you climb into the recesses of the load to fill the spaces. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. Needless to say, there was no room for the wrought iron shelves in the end.
So at the end of the day's work, we rush to the nearest fast food to fuel up.
Thanks to the ladies at the loading facility who recommended Seattle's Best Teriyaki.
It's been a hard day's work...
It makes me sleepy like a log...
All in one day!
